The Annual Student Competitions for the 2026/2027 academic session kick off this term, offering every learner the chance to shine beyond the classroom. The competitions are organised across both junior and senior secondary classes and cut across academic, oratory and creative talents.
Competitions lined up for the term include:
- Essay Writing – for all classes
- Public Speaking & Elocution – junior and senior categories
- Debate – inter-house and inter-class
- Spelling Bee – JSS 1 – JSS 3
- Mathematics Quiz – SSS category
- Poetry Recitation & Current Affairs
Long-standing tradition holds that the Literary Genius Award goes to the contestant with the highest overall marks, while the Best House – Literary rolling trophy is presented to the house with the highest cumulative points. Winners will be honoured during the end-of-session prize giving day. Interested students should register with their class teachers on or before the first week of the term.
